If you're needing a super quick appetizer that everyone will love - you have to try these! They take all of 10 minutes from start to finish and are so delicious. These could also pass as a side dish. They hit all the flavor notes and textures. I could eat like 10 of them :) These could also be made vegan, with Boursin's dairy-free version of their spread.
What You'll Need:
• 1 gluten free baguette (any gluten free bread will be fine)
• 1 block Boursin garlic & fine herb cheese
• Asparagus
• Fig Jam
• Orange Zest, from one orange
• Olive Oil
• Salt
How To:
≥≥ Turn your oven to broil on low. Start by slicing your bread into 1 inch thick pieces. Get them onto a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil and a pinch of salt.
≥≥ Get them into the oven for 2-3 minutes or until lightly toasted.
≥≥ Spread a thick amount of Boursin cheese on the top of each piece. Top with an asparagus head (save the rest for my asparagus and corn risotto!). Pop back into the oven for an addition 2-3 minutes on broil, until the cheese has slightly browned and melted.
≥≥ Top with a dollop of your favorite fig jam and a sprinkle of orange zest.
