WARM BERRY CRUMBLE

This is one of the easiest and most delicious desserts, hands down! It requires minimal ingredients and I often have these on hand between my pantry and freezer. I prefer the frozen berry blend, but you can totally use fresh berries, too! It's a great one to make when you're needing to use up some fresh berries in your fridge before they go bad. The gluten free warm berry crumble is a little sweet, a little tart, crunchy, buttery and oh-so-good.

What You'll Need:

For the Berries:

• 3 cups frozen berry blend

• 3 tbsp sugar

• 3 tbsp starch (arrowroot or corn)

• Pinch of salt

• Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (for topping, if desired)

For the Crumble:

• 4 tbsp softened butter

• 1/4 cup white sugar

• 1/4 cup brown sugar

• 1/4 cup gluten free all purpose flour

• 1/2 cup almond flour

• 1 tsp vanilla

How To:

≥≥ Preheat your oven to 375º. In a mixing bowl, add in your frozen berry mixture, sugar, starch and salt. Mix it up until the berries are coated. Add them to a greased baking dish and pop them into the oven for 10 minutes or so. Skip the 10 minute pre-bake if you are using fresh berries, that way they aren't over cooked.

≥≥ In a separate bowl, combine your crumble ingredients. Mix up with a spoon. It should be crumbly, kind of like a semi-wet sand.

≥≥ Pull your berries out after 10 minutes and top with your crumble mixture. Get it back into the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes or until the crumble is crunchy and brown and your berries are bubbling!

≥≥ Top with your favorite vanilla bean ice cream (if desired). Serve warm and enjoy!
